An Ode to Gingerbread Cookies

The boys love gingerbread cookies, and during December we make batch after batch using this recipe from Taste of Home.

Luke's writing class assignment for our last week before the holiday break was to write a poem about something to do with Christmas.  Luke decided to write about cookies.

Christmas Cookies

Crunchy

Or soft, but always yummy

Outrageously delicious

Keep my plate filled with cookies please

I always crave those scrumptious gingerbread men

Eating more and more, my mouth waters with delight

So I want more Christmas cookies!
