Sadly, Luke got sick with strep throat a few weeks ago. He laid on the couch most of the day and watched his favorite show Cats 101. Even Paws likes it.
We had PawPaw's birthday and the massage train occurred.
Texas is in a horrible drought. Look at the ground. We are watering our yard- this was at the park.
Big A's last day with his company was June 15th. He starts his new job July 11th. We have had three and a half weeks of bliss, enjoying having Dad around. Each afternoon we have done something, a trip to the library, Goodwill, grocery store, etc. Then we have a nice dinner at home, many times husband grills for us. Then each evening we have been going to a park to run/ walk/ ride bikes. One night we ventured to the Disc Golf Park.
It took me about two days to get used to Big A being around all day long. Now I love it and will miss him when he is back at work. He'll have some training in Houston, so we will really miss him.
We love the disc golf course. It is right down the road from us and some of the course is in the woods.
Every time we have gone there are serious disc golfers there. We just like walking the course and playing around.
Our playroom is in a constant state of mess, but the boys are playing constantly, so it's okay right? One Goodwill score was this race track. It was in the box, marked as is and cost $1.99. I wasn't too sure about purchasing it as I was afraid it was broken or missing pieces. We decided to get it and it works! The boys have been loving it.
This is the perfect summer dessert- fruit tart from Rao's. YUM!

Twice in the last three weeks we have gone to our favorite little hole in the wall catfish restaurant. For $6.99 we get a cup of gumbo, cole slaw, hush puppies, pickled tomatoes, three pieces of catfish, and a baked potato. It is the best catfish and gumbo. I love to eat there. It's in a old building and is the complete opposite of fancy. But that doesn't matter because the food is so good.

On a walk the boys discovered a huge dirt pile. Because of our drought it was hard packed dirt and they wanted to conquer it. They had a blast climbing to the top.

Climbing this dirt pile and throwing sticks and rocks down was so much fun for them. I need to remember it's the little things not the expensive, big, planned out things that boys like.
